Penguin_science_news_sm
In Walden we’re blessed with an abundance of charity shops, well stocked with vintage newspapers, magazines, books, records and printed ephemera. Yesterday I found four copies of “Science News”, a quarterly paperback published by Penguin in 1957. Read More >

snow_patch_2sm
August and I walked from Walden to Catmere End, to retrieve my car after late night fun at Lisa and Mike’s and then Vicky and Steve’s parties. Bright crisp morning. Climbing over the top we found the last of the snow and some trees covered in very yellow lychen. Read More >

footpath_Sept_dry_2Drove out of Walden and parked in a lay-by. Went for a run. The countryside’s looking pretty spent. The land here is chalky and when it’s dry it cracks. Stubble fields are being ploughed under, making billowing clouds of dust – man-size whirlwinds can be seen crossing the fields.

littlehampton_fleur_jacky
Met old London/RCA friends, Fleur and Jacky and families at Fleur’s great place in Littlehampton. Haven’t seen them for ages. Good to see them again. Used to be regularly pissed together at college shows, or at each other’s houses in North London. Really regularly. Really pissed. Read More >
