Biography

Gareth Wild started Apropos- in April 2000. Over the past six years work has come from a variety of clients including a magazine advertising campaign for Channel 4, publishing commissions for Faber & Faber, Fourth Estate, Mac User Magazine, and seasonal identity design for Norwegian technical clothing brand Helly Hansen.

Currently Apropos- is working with Reebok on an identity for the re-launch of their football collection.

Previously Gareth worked at Neville Brody's Research Studios: "Neville teaches you to be self-sufficient. You manage your own projects and clients and he's there for advice but he pushes you to make the key decisions, he wants his designers to be able to think for themselves."

Clients included Salomon (Ski, Snowboard, Snowblade, Apparel and Footwear), Bonfire, Taylor Made, the Guardian Unlimited website, Fourth Estate, Macromedia and others.

Gareth studied at the Royal College of Art and has exhibited at the 'Interact:1' show at the London College of Communication - part of the '2004 London Design Festival.' Also 'YR1 - A Snap Shot of Britain in the 21st Century', at the Photographer's Gallery.

Earlier experience was gained as a graphic artist at the Daily Express and as a designer/illustrator at both St Bartholomew's Hospital, London and Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge.
