The North West Cambridge Development is an ambitious new housing and community development for Cambridge. The Contemporary Art Society and InSite Arts are working together to deliver the Art Programme which includes major commissions, on-site artist residencies, plus a programme of temporary events and community engagement activities.

“GRAVEL – notes from thee other side of the fence”, is a series of events and exhibitions showcasing the work of 2014/15 resident artists David Kefford and Sarah Evans of Aid & Abet, Bedwyr Williams and Fernando García-Dory. Each artist has collaborated with a department at Cambridge University to create work in response to the site itself – what it has been and what it will become, and considers the needs of existing and future residents. “Each art commission will look to enhance the unique identity of this site and to raise a standard of integrated public art that will be recognised locally but also nationally and internationally.”

Further information on the exhibition and special events is available at nwcambridgeart.com
