Back in March 2011 Apropos was invited by Salomon to take part in a paid pitch to design a new global brand logotype for the mountain sports company. The key aspect of the brief was to re-introduce the heritage-S symbol, which had been used by Salomon for the majority of its history. We produced a comprehensive market research and design trends document which informed a series of logotype design proposals.
The final design was produced by Planning Unit and Fresh Britain. The new marque will unify Salomon under a common brand signature and will be visible to the public from January 2013 appearing on all product, store graphics and communication.
