I took August to the pier at Walton-on-the-Naze this afternoon. Still very much out of season despite the half term holidays so no waiting to get on the rides, most of which haven’t changed a great deal since the 80′s. August is a couple of inches too short to ride the dodgems solo. Nearly got him on the “Haunted Mine” ride. At considerable expense on the cranes we managed to win a stuffed R2D2 (legs sewn on back to front) and a Super Mario “Peach” princess for Felix.
