Identity and web design for illustrator Michelle Thompson. Thompson works internationally for clients as varied as Friends of the Earth, The Royal Mail, Penguin, BBC, The Guardian, Toronto Globe & Mail, Virgin Records and Marks & Spencer. She created the cover art for Cherie Blair’s book The Goldfish Bowl and has collaborated with Vaughan Oliver on an advertising campaign for Italian fashion brand Aspesi.
Michelle’s work combines found materials, printed ephemera, letterpress, photography and drawn elements. The new site opens with a splash screen of graphic elements taken from Michelle’s extensive archive – offering a flavour of her working process. We also designed a simple logotype representing her deconstructive approach. The site includes a concise portfolio of recent work, an extensive archive, plus a shop and blog. The identity is currently being applied to Michelle’s business stationery.
Site design by APROPOS, built by DEKKO.
