Found this flyer at the side of the road. This is authentic. It mixes graphics and colour and type and images in a non-designer way. It’s great, I love this kind of design because it’s not a reaction to club culture but IS club culture. It’s really hard to fake this sort of thing. Designers are often influenced by non-designer creativity but rarely get it right. You need a method-design approach, like method-acting. Use only the software, hardware, fonts and imagery that are available to the lay man. You need to forget your training and become amateur but enthusiastic. Non-cynical. Not easy.
