Presented as a 36 page booklet, Apropos-Everybody is a combination of ideas and experience designed to illustrate the development processes behind studio work. The project explores ideas of interpretation and context. Items made in the development of the project were subsequently exhibited at Interact-1, part of the 2004 London Design Festival.

Gareth,
I think what I liked most about the piece was its emphasis on context. That is something I have always thought did not get the attention it deserved. It was something that John Pearce (the P of CDP) put enormous store in. How you position Apropos and what you have to offer, with both context and the use of the Face graphic works extremely well – at least for me! The piece “feels” and looks both “weighty” in the sense of being serious and looking for serious respondents in addition to employing a number of graphics and graphic skills that demonstrate a very advanced degree of skills.
A word I would prefer is that as a promotional piece it is “smart.”
